SAINT LAURENT FW16 BURGUNDY VELVET SHIRT

Hedi Slimane’s farewell season at Saint Laurent. FW16 skipped Paris for the Hollywood Palladium, with 93 looks worn by models, many of them musicians, and Gaga, Bieber and Lenny Kravitz in the front row. Velvet ran all through that collection, and this shirt is a rare version: deep burgundy velvet woven with fine metallic thread that catches the light, baroque teardrop embroidery, twin chest pockets and black cat’s eye buttons. Cut in the skinny, androgynous Hedi silhouette he first made famous in the late 90s.
