Met Gala Series: AngloMania

If you know me, then you know the Met Gala is my Super Bowl😌✨ So in honor of leading up to it, I wanted to create Streetwear & contemporary looks to represent the last 20 years of Met Gala themes (2006–2025). I have a quick description of what each celebrated + the red carpet vibe. I hope you enjoy this series & would love to hear what Met Gala themes were your favorites!🖤✨ 2006 — AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion Explored British fashion from tradition to rebellion. Vibe: tartan, tailoring, aristocratic edge. I had a completely different idea in mind but then I saw the iconic look Sarah Jessica Parker wore matching with Alexander McQueen (designed by him, of course) & i thought how fun would it be to recreate it for everyday. Alexander McQueen has been one of my favorite designers of all time. His talent was truly unmatched and he left us too soon❤️ this one is for him. Mixing his tartan skirt with some Vivienne Westwood pieces. I also felt that incorporating Burberry coat was a must as it does make me think of a classic British piece of fashion. The girl wearing this is a rebel at heart.
