Buzz Rickson'sBuzz Rickson's WWII Denim Blouse Jacket
Lookbook
Description
Buzz Rickson’s recreates this vintage denim blouse based on wartime examples produced during World War II. With materials in short supply, the original design was simplified, with the pocket flaps removed and the number of front buttons reduced from five to four. The denim jacket is made in Japan from Buzz Rickson’s 13.6oz original denim, woven with a coarse texture that will develop character and pronounced fading with wear. Details include iron donut buttons with an arabesque pattern, copper rivets and a vegetable-tanned deerskin patch, as well as the signature single chest pocket with exposed copper rivets & flap omitted. True to originals, sizes 46 & 48 feature rear T-back split construction due to material & size. The 'For the Duration' label refers to the wartime practice of altering specifications until the end of the conflict. Buzz Rickson’s takes this a step further with its fictional wartime history, imagining the brand as a military flight jacket contractor awarded the E Pennant for excellence in supplying equipment to the US military. - 13.6oz Original Denim - 100% Cotton - White × Pink selvedge - Iron donut buttons with arabesque pattern - Copper rivets - Vegetable-tanned deerskin patch - One wash - Sizes 46 & 48 - T back construction - Made in Japan
