Mr Louis CartieR designed the first ever 'Santos' reference in 1904 as an alternative to pocket watches. He did this especially for his close friend Mr Alberto Santos-Dumont, an early aviation pilot who wanted to be able to check the time in the air. This version of the iconic timepiece is Swiss-made from polished stainless steel and features the signature exposed screws and silvered dial marked with Roman numerals. The house's 'QuickSwitch' option means you can easily swap the chain-link strap for the tan leather one.
