Founded in 2020 by sisters Laila and Nadia Gohar, Gohar World is a New York–based tableware brand that blends traditional craftsmanship with surreal, playful design. Drawing on their Egyptian heritage, the duo creates ornamental yet unconventional objects—from lace-trimmed rubber gloves to heirloom-quality glassware—designed in their Manhattan studio and produced by family-run ateliers worldwide. Emphasizing techniques like mouth-blown glass and needlework, Gohar World transforms everyday rituals into opulent, imaginative experiences, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and each piece is crafted to endure as a future heirloom.
