The BIRKENSTOCK Lutry is a slipper that can be worn as a backstrap style or as an open clog thanks to the flexible ankle strap. The footbed can be removed, for you to choose between three different footbed versions. This basic version features our standard footbed. It replicates the natural print made by a foot walking on sand and will see you through the day in comfort. The upper is made from extra thick, oiled nubuck leather with an open-selvage finish. - Removable, anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed - Upper: nubuck leather - Footbed lining: suede - Sole: natural rubber with cork elements - Details: clog with a flexible backstrap and an individually adjustable metal pin buckle - Footbed made in Germany Material details about product materials Upper material: Oiled leather Oiled leather is one of our favourite types of leather. Its oily waxed surface makes for a unique colour effect and develops a beautiful patina. The oily finish of our natural leather products results in colour variation, making each and every pair unique. Insole: Natural leather Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material. Footbed material: Cork Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning. Outsole: Rubber Because of its high elasticity rubber is very well suited for outsoles. Thanks to this property it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot. Rubber is also very robust and has good cushioning.
