MJ25101 Royal Navy Windproof Deck Smock, 1st Pattern Cotton Jacket Navy

Lookbook

Description

The British Royal Navy windproof smock was originally designed for crew members working out on aircraft carrier decks, where wind was a constant companion. Most people recognize the later version with the front flap used to secure communication cables, a design that’s become one of the most well-known British military garments. But this piece goes deeper, faithfully recreating the ultra-rare first model. Produced only briefly and in very limited numbers in 1958, it’s an original so obscure that even seasoned collectors barely know it exists. Something special you would like to order from The Real McCoy's? Don't hesitate to for all special orders and we would be more than happy to oblige!
