For its 60th anniversary, we bring back the original design for a limited-edition anniversary collection, with buckles, footbed, outsole and packaging all inspired by the 1963 original. Every pair of the limited edition bears is own unique number and comes with the red BIRKENSTOCK seal and matching socks. Insole: Natural leather Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning. Outsole: EVA EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.
