A commission for the Prince of Wales earned John Lobb its first Royal Warrant soon after opening on Regent Street in 1866, establishing the house's place in London's shoemaking scene. The 'Kingston' slipper takes a smoking-loafer shape, made from soft suede and lined with shearling.
