The A Bathing Ape Bape Sta Low Color Block Shark Blue is an athletic shoe featuring a Shark Blue patent leather upper, accented by white patent leather panels at the toe and heel and white stars on the sides. Japanese fashion brand A Bathing Ape, which is synonymous with BAPE, was founded in Ura-Harajuku in 1993 by Nigo. The multitalented Nigo, who is also known for his role in the Teriyaki Boyz hip hop group, is known for imbuing his inspiration throughout BAPE designs. The shark motif was inspired by military emblems seen on the nose of fighter planes and battleships. Shark imagery in white, black and red underlays the stars. WGM branding accents the rear heel, while BAPE branding is embossed on the white midsole.
