Long before it became a lifestyle brand spanning apparel, collaborations, and retail concepts across the globe, Kith was a sneaker store, and footwear remains the truest expression of founder Ronnie Fieg's creative instinct. "The true DNA of the brand and what I do creatively started with footwear," says Fieg. "This book is proof that we built something that didn't exist before." Kith: The Footwear Archive is Fieg's catalogue raisonne, a 444-page volume assembling more than 1,800 collaborative models from his personal archive: released pairs, friends-and-family editions, and previously unseen prototypes developed with partners including Adidas, Asics, Clarks Originals, Moncler, New Balance, Nike, On, and Timberland. The book unfolds in two halves, opening with 700 released pairs in elevated photography before indexing the full archive chronologically by brand, tracing each design from concept to final product. Longtime Kith collaborator Tyler Mansour photographed all fifteen years in its entirety, holding a single visual lens across every partnership and era. For collectors who have followed Kith since its earliest releases, and for anyone who reads sneaker culture as design history, this is Fieg's own account of how a singular point of view can turn a niche into a discipline.
