adidas unveiled the adidas Ultra Boost DNA Yuanxiao right after the start of the Lunar New Year in 2020. It was created to help celebrate the Lantern Festival that took place that year, as evidenced by the "Yuanxiao" in its name which refers to the rice balls served during this festival. This adidas Ultra Boost DNA featured intricate designs all over it that were inspired by the many flowers used during the Lantern Festival. It also had a black nubuck base with colorful red and gold accents scattered throughout it. The sneakers were equipped with adidas’ patented Boost technology as well.
