This piece is made with GRS-certified and bluesign®-approved recycled nylon with miDori bioWick finish. Wherever we can, we use recycled materials to lower our carbon footprint and reduce waste. Currently, 97% of the polyester and nylon we use comes from certified recycled sources. To date, we have recycled over nine million plastic bottles, as well as upcycled 1 million pounds of textiles and fishing nets to make our ReNew apparel and accessories and ReKnit footwear. Using recycled materials repurposes resources, reduces inputs, and diverts would-be-waste materials away from landfills. miDori® bioWick is made from microalgae sourced from chestnut trees in Germany and produced in an efficient closed-loop system, where sugarcane waste from a neighboring farm generates 100% of the facility’s electricity and steam. With a ZDHC Level 3 certification for safe chemistry practices, miDori® bioWick provides performance durability and quick-drying properties, while delivering up to 80% CO2e reductions—compared to conventional fast-wicking finishes made from fossil fuels.
