J.CREWFlight jacket in Italian leather

This jacket was inspired by the A2 bomber jacket, which was first designed for U.S. pilots in the 1930s. Drawing on the functionality and durability of the original, we've taken its design details and updated them for a jacket that's both rugged and comfortable. We made it in premium leather from Italy's Conceria Montebello (est. 1967), a tannery renowned for its mastery of fine leathers and sustainable practices. Much like raw denim, the leather will start off on the more structured, stiffer side, and get softer the more you wear it. Over time, this jacket will take on your wear patterns and develop a patina that's unique to you—something that's best earned, not given.
