Woven on original Toyoda GL3 power looms from the early 50's, Studio D'artisan's new GL3 fabric captures the essence of vintage workwear. While the loom can only weave 5 meters of fabric per hour, it creates a unique and uneven roughness which cannot be replicated by any other machine. Using thick rope-like cotton yarns, SDA repeatedly dips the yarn in indigo to achieve the darkest possible color. The denim has been given a one-wash rinse treatment to eliminate shrinkage, leaving them ready to be worn right away, no soaking required. - 15oz selvedge denim from the original 1950's GL3 Toyoda shuttle loom - Rinsed to remove shrinkage - Studio D'artisan's "Regular Straight" fit has a medium rise, a roomy top block, and a full cut through the legs - Rope dyed indigo warp, white weft - Custom leather patch with signature pigs logo - Hidden coin pocket selvedge - Custom branded copper rivets - Button fly with full nickel buttons - Hidden back pocket rivets - Raised belt loops - Chain stitched hems - White and red selvedge - 100% cotton - Made in Japan
