SETCHU for Women
Setchu was established in Milan by Japanese designer Satoshi Kuwata, who has lived and worked in Paris, London, New York, and Japan. The brand name “SETCHU” comes from the Japanese word “Wayo Setchu” (和洋折衷), meaning a blend of Japanese and Western concepts. Inspired by classic objects and structures like Seibien, Setchu creates simple and functional garments through this cultural fusion. The label crafts garments and lifestyle products with unexpected juxtapositions, seamlessly merging classic elements with contemporary design, while embracing sustainability and the Japanese concept of "Mottainai" (勿体ない), encouraging "reduce, reuse, and recycle."
