Photographer Robert Adams spent years hand-carving wooden boats, birds, and books—not for exhibition or sale, but for personal consolation. Each half-model ship, bird species, and book was formed by hand from wood with meticulous attention to form and detail. This beautifully photographed volume, captured by Adams' frequent collaborator Joshua Chuang, documents these quiet creations alongside views from the home Adams shares with his wife Kerstin—revealing a photographer's private search for meaning through craft.
