Description

IG: Guerrero_sto General Research Original Strap Jacket General Research started as a broad idea, with the objective to focus on specific subject matter as the brand developed. This focus came later, with the creation of Naval Research, Prisoner Suit Research, Military Wear Research and Mountain Research (among others). This broad approach resulted in the exploration of a wide arrange of styles and materials in the early years which led to a focus on technical, outdoors oriented-wear in later years. This early experimentation led to different styles in early collections ranging from punk-influenced garments and to practicality-driven designs and other staples in the brand, such as the varsity jackets and the motorcycle pants. Along with the motorcycle pants and varsity jackets, this coat also became a staple in the brand. The idea of using straps as a closing mechanism was first employed in the 1995 collection, although this jacket did not make its debut until the next year. In 1996 the strap jacket featured a hood, a third strap and elongated length. Made of a soft melton wool this jacket is built for the cold. features three outer pockets, one of these being a smaller pocket within the right pocket. Leather straps and adjustable cuffs as well as a face cover for extra protection. After this year this model appeared irregularly throughout the seasons with small changes, such as fewer rivets, one button for the face cover (instead of two) and covers for the pockets. Size M fits wide to accommodate linings or other garments for extra warmth Condition: 9/10 really outstanding, especially given the age. Most of the jackets like these I have seen are damaged due to washing Check out my other items!
