If you know me, then you know the Met Gala is my Super Bowl😌✨ So in honor of leading up to it, I wanted to create Streetwear & contemporary looks to represent the last 20 years of Met Gala themes (2006–2025). I have a quick description of what each celebrated + the red carpet vibe. I hope you enjoy this series & would love to hear what Met Gala themes were your favorites!🖤✨ 2024 — Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion Focused on fragile archival garments and reviving historic couture through technology and storytelling. Vibe: ethereal, botanical, romantic, dreamy textures. At first i thought I’d take a more fairytale-esque, ethereal approach but i kinda did a Y2K romantic. I had saved these jeans from Blumarine a while back and the ruffle feels so perfect for the moment. I paired it with these rose heels and then to play on that found this bra with embroidered roses on it. This jacket from Noir kei ninomiya was absolute perfection & paired it with cool big gems for the jewelry. Finished it with this jeweled Chanel bag whose stones kinda reminded me of historic couture culture of royalty.
