My Bloody Valentine (MBV) is an Irish-English rock band formed in 1983, led by guitarist/vocalist Kevin Shields. They are the undisputed pioneers of Shoegaze a genre defined by “walls of sound,” heavy guitar distortion, and ethereal, whispered vocals. The image on the shirt is the original cover art for the band’s 1988 EP, Feed Me With Your Kiss. It features a high-contrast, grainy close-up of a face (specifically the eyes and mouth) which captures the raw, noisy, and visceral energy of their early sound. “Feed Me With Your Kiss” is one of their more aggressive, abrasive tracks, acting as a bridge between their post-punk roots and the hazy textures they would later perfect. This dropped during the height of the 2020 lockdowns.
