Met Gala Series: Schiaparelli and Prada

If you know me, then you know the Met Gala is my Super Bowl😌✨ So in honor of leading up to it, I wanted to create Streetwear & contemporary looks to represent the last 20 years of Met Gala themes (2006–2025). I have a quick description of what each celebrated + the red carpet vibe. I hope you enjoy this series & would love to hear what Met Gala themes were your favorites!🖤✨ 2012 — Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations Imagined a dialogue between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada. Vibe: surreal details, bold color, intellectual chic. Naturally I wanted to incorporate both Prada and Schiaparelli designs but for some reason there were no Schiaparelli pieces on the app! So i innovated. When i think of Schiaparelli i immediately go to the face pieces, keyhole, accessories, black and gold. For those elements i found these great jewelry pieces, heels from Manolo Blahnik, and then this bodysuit from Roberto Cavalli. When i was looking at the exhibit i saw a lot of orange pieces and these great embroidered jackets. I found a similar one from Jenny Packham for this look. And then loved this orange skirt from Prada to pair with everything. One of the Prada skirts part of the exhibit had purple flowers in it that i thought looked so pretty together.
