COMME DES GARÇONS AD2005 UNION JACK LONG SLEEVE TOP

Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons, dated AD2005, from the era when she was cutting up British punk imagery. Her SS06 runway had Union Jack headscarves and a Mad Max headpiece made with milliner Stephen Jones, and the Met Museum now holds one of those looks. This tee clashes the Union Jack against a navy-and-white tropical floral, patchworked across the body and sleeves. It works on its own or as a layer.
