The VEGEA™ Sneakers are made from 100% VEGEA™. The sneaker features a lace-up closure, round toe, subtle platform sole and GANNI logo. DETAILS - 100% Vegea™ - Heel height: 4cm - GANNI logo - This material is part of our Fabric of the Future initiative, set up in 2019 to research, develop and invest in innovative materials that are paving the way for the future of fashion. This piece is made with VEGEA™. VEGEA™ is an innovative material characterised by the high content of vegetal, renewable and recycled raw materials: grape leftovers from winemaking, vegetal oils and natural fibers from agriculture. By using plant waste, VEGEA™ prevents the CO2 release that would have occurred if the waste was burnt. VEGEA™ does not use any toxic chemicals, heavy metals, or other dangerous solvents in their production process. *The EU Fibre regulation allows only a selection of named and approved materials to be declared on the product/label. For legal reasons, the trademarked names for these Fabric innovations are not (yet) registered as a known fibre or input. This is what’s known as a ‘next-generation material’ and therefore it needs to be labelled in the composition differently.
