Kris Van Assche at the helm of Dior may have reinvented the suit and tie, but many would agree this particular showing was a precursor to the final five looks. Enlisting Dan Witz, an American street artist who specializes in photorealistic paintings, together the two would release a small collaborative collection, featuring Witz’s work. His oil based illustrations would coat the external of blazers, slim cut trousers, anoraks, and most notably, a bomber jacket. Today, the effort is hailed as a height of the Dior maison, as some of these pieces were the first to hit quote on quote “grail” status since Hedi Slimane’s time. This particular art installation for Dior’s Autumn Winter 2017 collection features a collective lot of three limited edition skateboards, produced in extremely small quantities.
